Welcome to the Lathrop Homes revitalization online community.  This website serves as resource for information on the revitalization planning process for the Julia C. Lathrop Homes situated at Diversey and Clybourn on 37-acres in Chicago.  

The Chicago Housing Authority at the recommendation of the Lathrop Working Group selected our team, Lathrop Community Partners (LCP), to lead the community planning process for the revitalization.  Our team includes the expertise and experience of developers, designers and community and afforable housing advocates that have worked in Chicago communities for decades and understand what it takes to create a successful and thriving community.  LCP is a five-party development team comprised of Related Midwest, Heartland Housing, Bickerdike Redevelopment Corp., Magellan Development Group and Ardmore Associates.  We are honored and excited for the opportunity to spearhead the planning process and ultimately the multi-year, multi-phase revitalization to create a sustainable mixed-income community.

The vision for the future Lathrop Homes site is to produce a model urban community offering housing that is affordable to families across a broad income spectrum.   The LCP team's intention is to create a diverse connected neighborhood along with schools, parks, and community space  all within close proximity.   The goal is to develop a community home to safe, healthy families who are enduring, rooted, and empowered and enjoy sustainable affordability and opportunity.
